I am also fluent in Japanese, allowing me to support a wider range of clients and provide clear communication when needed.

Outside of work, I love to fly — it keeps me focused, disciplined, and always aiming higher. I bring that same mindset and dedication into the work I do every day.

About Me — Joe Szeman, President, Managing Broker & Accountant
I am the President, Managing Broker, and Accountant here at Coastal Rainforest. I have been a CPA, CMA for 16 years. My background mixes science, finance, and operations, which helps me look at problems from different angles and keeps our company running efficiently.

I grew up in Chilliwack, and those early years in the Fraser Valley shaped who I am today. I’m outdoors almost every day — usually in the forest — because being in nature helps me reset, think clearly, and stay grounded. I’m also a big believer in lifelong learning and try to learn something new every single day.

Sports have always been part of my life. I spent over 10 years playing baseball and soccer, and the teamwork and discipline from those years still guide how I work and lead. Outside of the office, I enjoy playing tennis, exercising, jogging, and taking my dog around town.

I’m proud to help lead Coastal Rainforest and support the communities we work with across the region.

About Me — Collin Stan, Licensed Strata Manager Hi, I’m Collin. I’ve been a licensed strata manager since 2007, and I’m passionate about helping strata communities run smoothly, stay organized, and feel supported. With many years of experience, I’ve learned the importance of clear communication and being there when people need assistance.

I’m known for being hard-working, reliable, and always willing to lend a hand — whether it’s assisting council or guiding owners through complex issues.

Outside of work, I like to bike ride, long walks, staying active, and enjoying music.

About Me — Nicole, Rental Manager

Nicole has worked in the rental and property management industry for over 13 years. Her experience includes residential rentals, tenant relations, leasing, maintenance coordination, and overseeing day-to-day rental operations. She manages the rental division at Coastal Rainforest, ensuring that both property owners and tenants receive reliable, professional support.

Nicole is known for her fair and organized approach. She prioritizes clear communication, timely responses, and maintaining well-managed properties. Her focus is always on creating a smooth, stress-free experience while helping owners protect their investments and tenants feel at home.

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys exploring local trails, visiting new cafés, and spending time with family and friends.

I have worked in the Real Estate and Property Management industry since 2003, holding licenses in Strata Management, Property Management, and Real Estate Trading Services. With a background in Geology and Civil Engineering, I bring strong technical and practical knowledge to managing diverse strata portfolios across Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

My career includes experience with major brokerages such as Royal LePage, Sutton West Coast, Team 3000 Realty, and Stratatech Consulting, along with recognition through multiple industry awards. I am also active in the community through leadership roles with organizations including the White Rock Muslim Association and Global Peace Alliance BC. I am committed to providing reliable guidance, clear communication, and professional service to the clients I support.

I’ve trained and mentored many professionals in the industry, overseen thousands of units, and helped companies strengthen their systems and service. I’m hands-on, detail-focused, and committed to clear communication with owners, tenants, and staff.
